Audio Cassettes:
• Any repairs, cleaning or servicing to the tape necessary for a transfer to take place is not covered within the posted transfer rate...
• However, we will not usually contact you before commencing a repair - materials are accepted with the assumption that you are aware of the damage, and you are engaging us to repair & transfer the tape to CD.
• With our Budget Level Service we cannot listen to the audio transfers right the way through, as the cost would be prohibitive. The client needs to accept that we will do our best to undertake a quality transfer. What this means in practice is that we will view the resulting audio waveform and look for anomolies. If a noise or interference is missed by us at this stage, our liability is oulined in the following point...
• We keep all transfers on file for a period of 14 days after delivery. It is the clients responsibilty to inform us of any unacceptable problem within this 14 day period. If we find a mistake to have been made on our side, we will correct it from the files we have, and re-issue a free replacement CD at our expense. If we are notified after the 14 day period lapses, we cannot help you beyond attempting another transfer from scratch at a cost of 50% of the prescribed rates.
• At this level of service we do not warrant a perfect job. If a client wants a perfect job, we can actively monitor the transfer right throughout the process, but the transfer will need to be performed at our hourly editing rate of $55/hr, in lieu of the posted rates..

Vinyl Records:
• Any repairs, cleaning or servicing to the record necessary for a transfer to take place are not covered within the posted transfer rate...
• Because such damage may not be immediately apparent to you, we will usually contact you before commencing a repair or cleaning your record.
• We may refuse to perform a transfer on a dirty record if you choose not to have them cleaned..
• We don’t warrant to perform a perfect job at the Budget Transfer price point. Hiss pops and crackles may certainly be evident on your CD if the record is in poor condition. We do not monitor the audio transfer process with the Budget Level Service as the cost is prohibitive, but we do view the wavefroms which will clue us in to a jumping record where it repeats. A jump where no repeat takes place will be very hard to detect without actively listening through the recording. While we will hold the files for 14 days, if the record jump went by undetected our file will have the jump also. If it’s a repeating jump we will eliminate it as best we can. If it is a non-repeating (adjacent track skip) jump, we can do nothing, and indeed even attempts to re-record of the original record could fail in the same way, as the turntables are very well maintained pieces of equipment. We may attempt to re-record the track if you like, but it will be at your expense at our hourly audio editing rate, as this kind of work is beyond the scope of this service as priced, and falls into the category of restoration.
• As stated in the previous point, we keep all transfers on file for a period of 14 days after delivery. It is the clients responsibilty to inform us of any unacceptable problem within this 14 day period. If we find an avoidable mistake to have been made on our side, we will correct it from the files we have, and re-issue a free replacement CD at our expense. If we are notified after the 14 day period lapses, we cannot help you beyond attempting another transfer from scratch at a cost of 50% of the prescribed rates.
