Tape Repairs - Pricing & Details...
It is advised that your repair be in conjunction with a transfer to DVD or CD. Prices are quoted on that basis, with a $5 surcharge applying otherwise. Playing a spliced videotape over the delicate heads of a camera or VCR can result in irrepairable damage, so we only splice a videotape when the break has occurred at one end. Tapes snapped partway through are transplanted into two shells so no splice will play over the heads. Though all care is taken, we accept no responsibility for any damage caused by playing of a spliced tape on your equipment. NB: No such problem applies to audio tapes.
Screwed-together shells may be able to be re-used. Heat welded shells will need to be replaced.

Crease Removal - We can attempt to remove creases from tapes, both chewed tape section, or continuous edge creasing or ripples. Hourly charges apply. If a tape comes to us with long sections of tape outside of the case, hourly charges will apply for re-spooling.
