8mm, Super 8 & Super 8 film with sound:
Rates consist of a once-off Project fee of $33.00, plus .33c per foot of film. For films with sound, a 15% surcharge applies if you would like the sound captured, otherwise we are happy to perform these as silent transfers at no extra cost.
Alternately, we can transfer to Hard Drive or USB Thumb Drive so you can edit your footage and burn your own discs.. Please check here
PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT OVERCHARGE HALF-FULL REELS AS FULL REELS, AS SOME DO.
Except for 3 inch reels, which we do charge as a full 50ft, we charge by actual footage. By charging by footage we ensure you fair price. We can easily quote accurately once we see the reels, or you can read the gradulations that appear on most film reels to estimate how much footage your reels actually contain.
16 mm Film:
Rates consist of a once-off Project fee of $33.00, plus .33c per foot of film, plus a minimum transfer of 400 ft applies. Anything less than 400 ft will be rounded up to 400 ft.
Alternately, we can transfer to Hard Drive or USB Thumb Drive so you can edit your footage and burn your own discs.. Please check here
Titles/Subtitles Captions Pricing:
Included in your film transfer at no extra charge is an allowance for 1 x title card for each reel of film we transfer. Beyond that you may choose to have us insert extra title cards or captions.
If your films are on large reels, consisting of spliced-up short segments, you may want to have a different Title Card come up at the beginning of each change of location, or at other different intervals during the video. You can also have subtitles (captions) appear superimposed over the lower part of the screen..
A good use of a title card is to set the overall general location/event, or use more than one title card to show numerous locations within the general overall location/event.
To avoid the chance of a typo ruining everything, we like to have you take responsibilty for this area! So wherever possible we need you to supply us this title information in a text document, or an email, also specifying exactly where in the sequence you’d like your titles to show. If you choose to take advantage of our time-stamped option as explained above you will be able to specify very precise locations.
A good use of a subtitle is to identify people, or occasions within a sequence that may already have a title card.

• Plain White or coloured text of your choice on Black.
• “Silent Movies” style Title Card - Off White text on Brown with scrolled border, and featuring an aged film effect. See an example here.
• TV-styles Graphic Title Card
Subtitles:
• White or coloured text of your choice superimposed over image. (We may be required to add a contrasting outline, drop shadow or a semi opaque text box to ensure readability.)
• TV-style Lower Third Graphic with Subtitle - (will obscure some proportion of the image)
